2. 告别类 (Farewell)

英语中的告别语也很多,视情况而定。 这里只是列举最常见的。
直接的告别话语往往有:
Good bye! / Bye bye! / Bye!
See you tomorrow (next week / in two weeks /…)! See you soon!
委婉的告别有:
I’d like to say goodbye to everyone.          I’m afraid we have to move.
I’m afraid I must be going now.            I’m calling to say goodbye.
带有祝愿或叮嘱的告别:
I look forward to seeing you soon.           I’ll miss you!
Let’s hope to meet again / Let’s hope that we’ll meet again.
Hope to see you again.                Please drop in anytime you like.
Take care of yourself, and don't forget to keep in touch.
Do keep in touch!                  My best regards to your family.

3. 询问信息 (Asking for information)

在生活中我们总免不了问路或寻求信息。下面是一些常用的句式。
Excuse me, could you tell me the way to …?        Excuse me, is this the right way to …?
Excuse me, does this bus go to …?            Excuse me, could you show me …?
回答这些询问,不要答非所问就行了。比如说:
-- Excuse me, how can I get to Lanzhou University?
-- You go straight ahead. Turn right at the first traffic light, and you will see the
front gate of the University. You can’t miss it.
4. 介绍 (Introduction)

在生活中我们常会碰到一些新朋友,互相介绍或经他人介绍就显得非常重要。在介绍中,既要说明人物关系,又要注意语气的委婉。下面是几种可能的情况:
May I know your name? (请问贵姓?)
May I introduce Mr. Hart to you? (请允许我介绍哈特先生。)
Margaret,do you mind introducing me to her? (玛格丽特,你能不能把我介绍给她?)
Let me introduce you to others. (让我给大家介绍一下你吧。)
This is my boyfriend Dustin. (这是我的男朋友 达斯廷。)
Bill, this is Tom. (比尔,这是汤姆。)
Hi, I’m Cindy. This is my business card. (你好!我是辛西亚,这是我的名片。)
Have you met each other before? (你们以前认识吗?)

5. 邀请和拜访 (Invitation)

我们在日常生活中免不了邀请和拜访。邀请有书面的,也有口头的。这里只是列举一些常用的邀请语。
I wonder if you would like to …               Could I have the honor to invite you to …
We / I / he /… should be very delighted if you could …
Would you like to (come over our small party)?        Shall we (go for a walk / go to the movie)?
What about (another coffee / lunch together / …)?       May I have a dance with you?
We’d be greatly honored if you (come to my graduation ceremony).
I’d like to invite you to (attend our graduation ceremony).
